And should you be in search of something a little more casual, the lively atmosphere at La Fornaretta is sure to hit the spot while the dedicated chefs create delicious wood-fired pizzas right on Main Street. Another Loomis staple you won’t want to miss is Taylor’s, where you can find classic burgers and fries to pair with outstanding delicious milkshakes.

Loomis’ tight-knit community has resulted in a plethora of popular local events that keep residents and visitors alike entertained and amused. Loomis is well-known for the Flower Farm, where you’ll find a wedding venue, nursery, cafe, and inn situated in a working citrus orchard. The Farm has been a staple of the community since 1905. 
 
Wine connoisseurs will enjoy the many local and nearby wineries and vineyards, where you can sample award-winning wines while enjoying panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. As Loomis is part of the Placer Wine Trail, locations like Hill Top Oaks, Casque Winery, and Secret Ravine Vineyards are all incredibly popular among locals and visitors alike. For those who prefer galleries over grapevines, the High Hand Art Gallery boasts a diverse collection of works by local artists. 
 
Families and animal lovers alike will enjoy a trip to Alpacas All Around, where you can get up close and personal with these adorable animals in petting-zoo style. And, should a quiet afternoon in nature be in order, the Horton Iris Garden is home to thousands of brightly colored irises blooming from spring until fall. Another hotspot for avid gardeners and plant-parents is the High Hand Nursery, which is a great place to shop and grab a bite to eat. 
 
In addition, High Hand Nursery is a great place to dine and shop, while the historic Blue Goose Fruit Shed specializes in locally grown fruits and other produce as well as free-range eggs, honey, jams, an assortment of gourmet sauces, organic bread, cheese, butter, and grass-fed beef. The onsite events center also hosts weddings in a rustic, charming setting true to Loomis’ roots.
 

Schools

Loomis is served by the Loomis Union School District and Placer Union High School District. Schools within these districts offer Loomis residents access to excellent educational opportunities, with seven elementary schools (K-8th grade) and one high school (9th-12th grade).
